The medic tag is a broad term which is prone to mistagging, the current wiki says that it should only be used for combat medics. However, there have been cases of mistags such as post #2940933 where a naked girl is tagged as a medic because she wears a nurse cap. There is also another tag named paramedic for civilian EMTs. I'm also proposing an utility alias for the combat medic tag because that's a common term for them.

Reversing the utility alias taken earlier in this thread. As I mentioned in comment #2537684, I've always despised how "military medic" aliases to "combat medic" as there's plenty of military medical personnel that don't go into combat, and on the first page of this tag alone there's at least 4 examples of non-combat military medical personnel. That said, "combat medic" is a common search term for them, hence why I feel this should be an alias rather than a rename.

"Combat medic" appears to be the commonly used term for this role. A cursory search on google reveals army recruitment sites using this term, and even Wikipedia uses it.

Note that "combat medic" does not mean "medic that engages in combat", it means "medic that administers aid near combat zones".

The issue is that it currently encompasses medics that would never go near combat zones, such as post #4107772 or post #9778405. It's too granular to be worth making a separate tag for, but they fail even the most generous definition of "combat medic".
