Feature: The ability to have multiple appeals per post

I would also support a 6 month cooldown. Having more than 1 appeal ever for a post would reduce the stress in guessing when the conditions are right to appeal a post (e.g., how many approvers are active, are any approvers that approve this style of content active) and could reduce the number of users immediately going to topic #7934 before submitting an appeal.

I agree with that

I appealed some of those uploads since I thought they looked decent enough despite the significant number of approvers that skipped them over. However, I agree most of those posts have no chance of being approved.

Honestly, this whole approval-deletion system sucks. Like, just have a 1-10 rating system and let people decide what's the minimum rating they want to see...

wdym, it's a good system that doesn't allow for garbage to easily pass through or shitposters to ruin the site.

OK, they might be a new artist so maybe they won’t understand and anatomy yet

You are digging yourself into a deeper hole every response. This isnt a proving ground, its an archival of talented works.

And who would decide that rating system? The users? The same ones that make sure this page is always porn? The same ones that will even give bad looking AI hundreds of upvotes because they can see nipples?

All that does is add an extra layer to the searching process, and encourages people to upload garbage because instead of being deleted, it'll just be rated 1 star, unless it's porn. Then it'll be rated 10 because coomers have low standards.

If you don't like the moderation system, you can go to your account settings and enable "Show deleted posts" under Advanced to see all posts by default, regardless of whether they're approved or deleted. You will have to go through low quality posts that were deleted for good reason, but that's the reason why the moderation system exists.

This doesn't help you if you're an uploader, but if you just browse the site and don't want to miss anything that got deleted, it's an option.

You can also use the blacklist system with a blacklist of score:<0 to hide downvoted posts to try to filter out the worst posts. In practice through, there's plenty of AI slop that still gets dozens of upvotes. This is why we don't rely on user quality ratings.

well idk about the rating idea but as a somewhat regular uploader the approver system does kinda suck tbh. its not completely bad or unfair, it makes me think about the shortcomings in some of my deleted uploads and it helps keep garbage away, but its pretty discouraging when i upload stuff i feel is really good and it doesnt get approved because it just wasnt to their tastes lol or the right person didnt see it or whatever. appeals help with that a little, so because of that i really agree that just one appeal on an upload ever for as long as you have your account is pretty harsh. we should get more chances eventually even if it has to be every six months

With the current system a post is either good or bad, there's no inbetween, that's my main problem.

I believe the best solution is to give weight to people's votes(Eg: a normal user could have a weight of 1, builder 5, contributor 10, approver 20) or something.

Sadly, I know it is too late for that now, but I still wanted to throw this out there.

most voters are blue (see order:rank and mouse over / click the vote count of any given post). i don't believe this solution would change much unless the weights are ridiculously inflated.

Yes, and?

Having a fetish for something doesn't mean I upload deviant art tier pictures of it.
