The VR ASMR experience featuring Kyouyama Kazusa was a physical attraction at the Blue Archive 3rd Anniversary Festival in Japan (January 2024).
The experience was designed to be very intimate and personal. The simulation places you in a room with Kazusa where:
- She leans in very close to your face to "check your skin" or look into your eyes
- She exhibits her signature "tsundere-but-actually-sweet" personality, acting flustered
- The 3D spatial audio makes it feel like she is whispering directly into your ears, which was described as "transcending reality"
The reactions of players emerging from the VR booth in visible emotional distress went viral in the community.
- Fans were literally weeping or sitting in silence after the session ended
- The experience was jokingly labeled a "soul-destroying" because it felt "too real"
- Fans claimed that returning to reality after such an intimate interaction with their favorite character was genuinely jarring
