Line of solid-body electric guitars designed and manufactured by Japanese maker Yamaha since 1989.
Its original and now-classic inception is based on Fender's Fender Stratocaster with the main differences being a much rounder body with longer horns, a different headstock with Yamaha's logo, a distinctly shaped smaller pickguard on higher end models, and an output jack mounted on the side of the body instead of its front.
