In Japan, slash ("/", often drawn like a check mark "✓") and X mark (×, ✗) are for missed answers, and circles (○) denote success.
This tag should generally be used for actual paper tests, (usually with scores plain to see,) and not more metaphoric tests of characters, like needing to pass an obstacle course to qualify for a job. Tag what you can see.
