    トロン TRON

A Science fiction franchise from the 80s.

The Tron franchise began in 1982 with the Walt Disney Pictures film Tron. It was followed by Tron: Legacy (2010), and Tron: Ares (2025). The series has expanded into multiple forms of media, including novels, comic books, video games, soundtrack albums, and theme park attractions. It also inspired the animated television series Tron: Uprising, which aired on Disney XD from 2012 to 2013.

The name TRON was borrowed from the TRON command used in the early versions of the computer programming language BASIC. TRON stood for TRace ON, which prompted the program to print or display line numbers for each command line of a program as it ran, in order to assist in the debugging of the program.
