The 2013 sequel to Battlefield 3 as part of the Battlefield series. Serving as the seventh installment in the series, the game takes place during the War of 2020, where the United States and the Russian Federation continue to fight after six years as a result of the events of the previous game. Meanwhile, the People's Republic of China experiences an internal conflict as rogue members of the military orchestrate a coup d'etat to join the war with Russia against the United States.
