Features the cast of Tales of Phantasia in their original designs by Graphic Designer Inagaki Yoshiaki, when the game was still called Tale Phantasia, before publisher Namco brought in artist Fujishima Kousuke to redesign the characters, alongside other sweeping changes.

As this change happened late in the game's development, the original designs by Inagaki can still be seen in the Super Famicom version of Tales of Phantasia, specifically the sprites in the battle screen.
