Artist's commentary
The protagonist of The Scramble Vice, Kei Sakuragi, had been utterly alone since losing her parents, with not a single friend to speak of. She lived a careless, rootless life until meeting the good-for-nothings of Mobile Unit 9, gradually finding her place in the world.
