Kanako is partly based on Take-Minakata. In the Kojiki's telling of the tale, Take-Minakata was a holdout among the Earthly Gods who refused to yield to the Heavenly Gods. Take-Mikazuchi defeated him by ripping off his arm/arms and tossing it/them aside. The text is seemingly also interpretable as Mikazuchi seizing Minakata's arm and bodily hurling Minakata away, but that doesn't seem to be the version used here.Somehow,You're pretty snake-like, Kanako*self-impressed*...
