On "The Jetsons," why do we NEVER see the ground? Why do we only see the sky and the buildings?

Because it's "futuristic" and in the 60's dream of the future EVERYONE would live in penthouse apartments and drive air-cars.

But they did show the ground at a couple of times -- once in an ad for a futuristic dude ranch, and another on video call from a friend basking on the beach in Tahiti complaining about her husband's daily 30 minute commutes to New York.
