I have a principle:
Never vent my negative emotions at my family. That “family” can mean my actual home, or any group I belong to. The key point is, if I see it as a safe haven, then the harmony is everything. I shall know that no one inside is obligated to carry my emotions.

If arguments keep happening, the air fills with distrust and the warmth fades away. In that case, I destroyed my own haven. No matter what and how justified I felt, I am the one who struck first.
