That would be Miku (Mom), comparative to the normal Miku (Young). It's been a while since she showed up though. There is also a Rin (Mom) who is more similar in design to Meltdown"s older Rin.

Also, the textures make a nice touch, a decent upgrade to the series. I just hope it doesn't mean that the artist has gotten bored of the series.
I know what it means in Thai, I've seen it done in Japanese comics and 4koma too. It's when folks burn the leaves during autumn, and roast ... potatoes? I don't know what they are in English - not to mention, if there's some term/phrase for this specific activity in English.

I only know English, however going by the meme, I'd assume you mean sweet potatoes, also called yams. There isn't a western equivalent, really...we just kinda see it as people sitting around roasting potatoes in leaves. :P The closest thing I know we do is to wrap "regular" potatoes in tinfoil and put them under the glowing coals from a wood fire.
