Fantastica: Rebellion – Illustration Collection
With the announcement that “Fantastica: Rebellion” (逆襲のファンタジカ) will be ending service at the end of March 2019, I’m releasing all of the illustrations I drew for the game in one batch.
They’re not ordered by the order they were implemented in the app, but by the order I personally drew them, starting from the newest and going backward (the last one is the oldest illustration).
…Looking at them all together like this, I really did draw quite a lot, didn’t I?
With some gaps here and there, I ended up working with the project for about six years, roughly one illustration per month.
Thankfully, I was given a great deal of freedom with both art style and direction, so you can really see my influences and personal tastes at different points pretty plainly. Going back over them now, it feels like an interesting record even to me.
Honestly, there were times when my condition wasn’t great or when I struggled to feel satisfied with my work, and I can’t help but feel apologetic about that in hindsight.
To everyone involved in development, and to everyone who played the game, thank you very much—and great work.
As for the character names, I forgot to include them in the images themselves, so I’ll list them below.
Sorry they’re hard to read… but I couldn’t put comments on each illustration individually…
