That is awesome, but, uh... I don't deserve credit for the translation. I think the main translators of TSB, for example, were padpod, nekomiku, and shipixiv. I only did about half of the pool overall.
There are a lot of different people, should I make a table? :)
I am 90% sure this will be horribly unfair, but it's something like Kyon's TS/TSH: BrokenEagle98, akbjker, Soljashy, me + a bunch of other people editing Kyon's TSA: me, john1980, padpod (the bath with Yuki and some pages later Kyon's TSB: padpod (the strip-old maid game), necomiku, shipixiv, me. Kyon's TSC: mostly me so far
Oh, right. I was forgetting how these letters work. TSH are the two side stories. That makes a lot more sense. (And yeah, of course you're right, those were translated by orgolove.)
TSC, Tea of Sagittarius Caramel, is supposed to be released this Comiket and it was announced on the rokudena-shi blog. Some of it was released ahead of time, starting here:
understood, though the date sidestory's name isn't herb, or Omokaji ga ippai ippai(which is a name of circle worked with Rokudenashi for http://doujinshi.mugimugi.org/book/309141/)
"Similarly, we're in the middle of severity inflation,"
is a callback to an earlier page that was missing. It eventually got put back in, so I should have taken out that note, and made the translation in the first part talk about "inflation" so that the callback would work.
The earlier line is,
"If the findings are true, then Kyon should be several hundred times more sensitive than when he was a guy... Just like how the stakes in a shonen manga suddenly get raised*! And not only that, they say flat-chested girls have good sensitivity!"
*: This line is literally "Like thrill inflation in a shonen manga!"
But I had a hard time expressing the idea of びっくりのインフレ [thrill inflation]. I think it's the idea that as a story goes on, things need to become more exciting to trump the last thing that happened and keep the reader's interest.
I wonder if everyone will understand if I just write "thrill inflation" there?
i wonder if i should change the last sentence, which is "Ah! Porn!" to "Ah! Dirty book!" or "Ah! Lewd book!" since in the original she says "ecchi na hon" which is not quite porn to me, and i don't think she'd say "porn" anyway.
issue #2: how would you translate "がっかりしてんじゃねーか"? orgolove translated is as "I told you to not get disappointed.." but that's unaccurate. should i leave it as it is?
