今回の投稿の主役は、カリンのいとこ 「石川寛奈」 のお話です！

今回登場する男性キャラクターは 「おたくん」 です！
(おたくんは名前ではなく、石川さんが直接つけたニックネームだそうです！)

読者の皆さんとつながるキャラクターですよ！
これまで目のないハゲキャラは少し硬かったので、読者の皆さんとつながるキャラクターとして おたくん を作りました！

おたくん以外にも、投影できるキャラクターを考えています！
これらのキャラクターはすべて、読者の皆さんが自分を投影できるキャラクターだと思っていただければ大丈夫です。

ちなみにおたくんは、石川ちゃんの片想い相手でもあります！

お互いに好意はあるものの、石川ちゃんは従姉妹の影響で異性との関係をもっと進めたいと思っている一方で、
おたくんは好きな石川ちゃんが傷つかないように、この部分については少し消極的な性格だそうです。

面白いのは、二人ともお互いに片想いしていると思っているところです！
まだ付き合ってもいない、微妙な関係ですね……。

おたくんと石川ちゃんは趣味が同じようで少し違います。
おたくんはゲームが好きで、石川ちゃんは漫画やアニメが好きですが、ある程度は共通点もあるようです！

なぜおたくんという呼び名になったのか、会話をちょっとご紹介します。

「……前から聞きたかったんだけど……なんで俺がおたくんなの？」
「だって、あんたオタクじゃん」
「それは……石川さんも同じだろ……」
「は？」
「……いや、なんでもない」

……ということらしいです！

Otakun isn’t his real name—it’s a nickname that Ishikawa gave him herself!

He’s a character that connects with the readers!
Until now, I’ve mainly drawn bald characters without eyes, but even though Otakun is a character meant to connect with readers, I designed him to feel a bit more serious.

Besides Otakun, I’m planning other characters that readers can project themselves onto.
All of these characters can be seen as ones that readers can relate to or see themselves in.

By the way, Otakun is also Ishikawa’s crush!

They both have feelings for each other, but Ishikawa, influenced by her cousin, wants to take the relationship further,
while Otakun, not wanting Ishikawa to get hurt, tends to be a bit cautious in this regard.

The interesting thing is that both of them think the other is just their crush!
They’re in a delicate situation—they aren’t even officially together yet…!

Otakun and Ishikawa have similar hobbies but with some differences.
Otakun likes games, while Ishikawa enjoys manga and anime, but there’s still some overlap in their interests.

Here’s a little conversation explaining why he’s called “Otakun”:

“…I’ve been meaning to ask… why am I called Otakun?”
“Because you’re an otaku, aren’t you?”
“Well… Ishikawa-san is the same, isn’t she…?”
“Huh?”
“…Never mind.”

…So that’s apparently the reason!
