Okay, I can't say that I was expecting this sort of hypnosis app failure mode, but that won't stoop me from laughing it up! 😂 (For the curious, my favorite failure mode can be summed up as "Oh no. It worked.")

I mean, if people know that it's possible to get a hypnosis app (considering how happy he was to finally get one) then it stands to reason that people are using it frequently enough. Also the fact that layered hypnosis isn't a feature means that this happens more often than one might think. The dark undertones of this suggest that many people could be hypnotized and never realize it until a situation like this occurs.
