  • Capri 2122

    Capri 2122
Here the image I painted for the "Memorie dal Futuro" (memories from the Future) exhibition in Capri.
The event wanted to celebrate the centenary of the "Landscape Congress" that took place here in 1922, where exponents of the Futurism, an Italian artistic, cultural, musical and literary movement of the XX century, was talking about the future.
Now it's time to talk again about the future for Capri, and the rest of the world, and the future now needs to try to preserve what we have today or better come back at what we had yesterday. It's clear in these days we're slowly, quickly, consuming our planet and we need to find solutions to the problem.
A first and easy step may be to clean the Capri coasts from the hundreds of boats every day pollute this paradise and replace them with high tech flying green energy yachts...easy.
This image just want to be an homage to the island hoping it will preserve its beauty from here to the next 100 years and much more.
    .
Thanks to all the people I met in these couple of days that made this stay so nice.
Thanks to Capri Comics Arcadia - Associazione Culturale and the city of Capri to have organised this event and let me paint this image.
    I'll soon come back!
