How is Fate/Stay Night not anime related?

I thought it was Excalibur. But that's not my area of historical expertise.

The two swords tend to get confused, but it is indeed Caliburn that gets pulled from the stone (the sword of kingship!). Arthur/Arturia gets Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake after breaking Caliburn.

What happened to Clarent?

The French name for Caliburn (or Excalibur depending on what version you read - it does get confusing in some iterations).

Too bad you can't be the Hero of Time with a brittle blade like that.
