Okay, so I had a really hard time translating this page. I apologize if any of my translations are faulty (They most likely are). I hope we can get someone more familiar with Japanese than me to take a look at this.

    "Special ability activated"

Possible setup for loss by disqualification? In post #1051714, the rules state that "full use of one's abilities is prohibited". Cirno's danmaku freezing doesn't really fall under actual danmaku nor is it a spell card, so it's more actual ability use than anything. Granted, the way the rule is worded (or translated) is very vague - would using your ability at 99% strength be within the rules? - but it's worth a thought.

As I see it, Yuuka will Master Spark the ice away, proving that she can use it but chooses not to normally. However, she still loses (by disqualification) because she didn't declare it available at the start.

Not really. I think it'd count like Aya's speed, or Yukari's gaps. Just with Cirno, she's got this. It's an innate ability, don't think they banned those. Otherwise Rumia's would be a disqualifier. Or Mystia's.

Double Spark would be better. One for the ice and the other for Cirno.

It's the ability she used dozens of times in Fairy Wars, the one she defeated Marisa with. And if we're making comparisons with other abilities, I'd compare it to Mystia's cards blacking out the board except for a tiny circle of light, or Konpaku Youmu's cards that slow down everything: you, her, and the bullets.

And Yuuka did declare Master Spark. Or at least, she declared three cards, and she's only used two: post #1095521

Okay, I cannot stop geeking out about this plan.

Observe. It starts out with Daiyousei sneak attacking Yuuka, forcing her to use a spell card that conceals her vision. As soon as that lets up, Wriggle has already launched a spell card that conceals her vision. On the tail of that is Mystia... concealing her vision. And finally Rumia is there with a blanketing darkness, that conceals her vision.

This fight was never about landing a hit on Yuuka. From the very beginning it was all about hiding Cirno.

And the other half of the plan...

If Daiyousei can teleport Cirno out, why couldn't she teleport both of them out? Why didn't she?

Why did Wriggle try to land a Wriggle kick, instead of hovering outside the bug storm, keeping Yuuka trapped within?

Why did Mystia call out her position? Why did she keep screaming even after the first shots were fired, instead of going into duck and cover mode? I thought it was just idiocy at the time, but now...

Why did Rumia leave her cloud of darkness to exchange badass boasts with Yuuka? Why not strike from within? We were all wondering that at the time.

Was it the Bakatet's plan, from the very beginning, to go down one by one, in order to convince Yuuka that she was "winning"? To keep her arrogant, so she doesn't suspect their trap?

If it was, think about that. To steal the analogy from Marisa, if your plan is "Take hits from Mike Tyson so he doesn't see someone sneaking up on him with a baseball bat," could you go through with it?

To me it doesn't matter at this point whether Yuuka whips out master spark or not, the Bakatet's proven to me that they have a collective pair big enough to be its own spell card.

Oh, and PS: Cirno's beaten Master Spark before. Against Marisa. Personally I think Marisa is rooting for Cirno's victory as much as Reimu, since it would save some of her pride for having lost to her.

In /tg/ terms, Cirno may have just rejected Shikieiki's theory and acquired the Paragon template.

    I sorta did~

Edit: But in seriousness , I highly doubt she looked like a fool in he last few comics. She was practically sweeping them. A swear, this chick being over-idealized...

I can crush it and drop Cirno with just regular danmaku.
She was able to freeze them...
She should have shot down Cirno before she amassed the ice.
Certainly, you must have an escape route ready for any Danmaku.
If she doesn't act within the time limit, her escape routes will definitely disappear.
If Yuuka had looked at the display board even once, she would have known that Cirno survived.
The display board's skull and crossbones.
    So what?
No matter how big it gets, it's just ice, after all.
I hadn't realized before, but Yuuka was acting foolish.
    Perfectly!!
    Special Ability Activated
    Ice Barrier!!
    The Danmaku.
However, she did have time to properly plan an escape route for this Spell Card, ze?
