Hakurei Miko's entire origin comes from MUGEN. She wasn't made up by some doujin artists who just happened to make a fan fic character that got popular. It's a MUGEN character that got super popular instead. Also, click on that ? next to the tags. In Danbooru, you should learn to use that alot. Reimu isn't the only character that has had MUGEN edits. Other characters have too like Alice and Meiling. Hakurei Miko just happened to catch on more than the other edits.
