You know in Killing Floor, you get slowdown every time you get a kill? This works on roughly the same principle, except it's for every time they land a hit. This entire arc's happened in the span of three minutes.
Oh, course, now it makes sense. Byakuren's hair, I mean. Shou and Suwako have red blood on their hair, making a red-to-blonde gradient for each. Byakuren did the same thing, but with a Namekian's blood!
On a serious note, Suwako's really creeping me out in this arc.
