It actually is as long as the spanker show some restraint. Nothing wrong with a little pat on the bum to convince someone that doing something's bad. It's actually a well known psycological effect of pain.

Well, some people like feeling rage. Makes going through life with a smile on your face a little easier by venting your rage at an inanimate object and a faceless male rather than a living human standing right in front of you or across the telephone line... Believe me, I know.
