My god, it's full of sprites.

I've already gone over it once to tag it. Now I have to go over it again to leave annotaions on all the hidden characters. My eyes are going to hurt like hell when I'm finally done.

I've finished annotating all of the characters. I also found some that I missed on my first sweep. I think Remilia and Satori are in there somewhere as well seeing as they are the only two Windows era characters that I couldn't find.

Edit: Looks like somebody found Satori while I was busy adding the annotations.

I finnaly found a tagged Remilia. This image really does have everybody from the Windows games.

The amount of effort I put in searching this thing must make just as crazy as the guy who made it.

I'm sorry for mentioning this now after you've gone through all of it already, but it looks like there was a method to his madness - for the most part (looking at Yukari as the major exception to this), the non-PCB characters are hidden within the larger PCB character of corresponding stage. That is, all the Stage 1 bosses are around Letty, all the stage 2 bosses are around Chen, and so on.

Well I'll be damned then. I guess that shows that when you're focused on one thing you tend to ignore everything else.

The pattern with Yukari seems to be characters who don't have an official in-game appearance (or, in the case of Hisotensoku, an official design). Makes a kind of sense, since Yukari is the only Lunatic Stage boss in the series to date and thus wouldn't have a true equivalent in the other games.

Also, mad props for finding the elusive Rin Satsuki in this.

I think I found Suika as a part of Yukari.

But Suika doesn't fit with this theory, so I want a quick secondary opinion.

Looking at some of the artist's stuff on pixiv shows that Suika is indeed within Yukari. As for why, well I don't know.
