Cutting paper is the music to Sanaewife's ears. And yes, those are sharp. Sharp enough to be used to cut food then cook it above the lamination press which really hot. I admit that we did that with my co-workers, but we cleaned the blade to maintain its sharpness.
I'd previously seen only one-directional cutting machines, so I was impressed by a machine that could cut in three directions at once. It was fun just staring at it for a while. :-)

I use to work for our local newspaper mail room, we had a cutter similar to this, one day a elementary school group came by on field trip much like this, and of all the machinery the newspaper had
they had the most impressed with and had fun with the Cutter. Lol
