Welcome back! Apparently the "spider bleeding" thing is probably best translated as "arachnid hemorrhage", punning on "subarachnoid hemorrhage" (蜘蛛膜下出血). Maybe that condition is better known in Japan?

Ooh, wasn't even aware of that. Since the 膜下 was left out, my search results didn't turn up that phrase. Anyway, I'll modify my post accordingly.
