I had a 1986 GT-S with basically the motor Takumi had in the beginning. Slow car but very easy to pitch sideways with the right parts.

Most overrated import car on the planet, aside from Honda Civic and Acura Integra. This thing was good back when it just came out, if judged with today's standards this thing is a POS out of the box and only starts showing any real improvement after you've dump your yearly salary into it. Total waste of time really, theirs a shitload of cars that give you better performance before and after you dig into your wallet.

Sad, but true.

Interesting story. A guy I know happens to have one of these, and Initial D fans keep trying to buy it off him. That car is the only reason he's even heard of the show.

my opinion: despite all the fan boys making the car overrated, the truth remains that it's still fun to drive which is why so many people invest their time and money into this car.
