To be fair the K98 is still in use with guard bataillons.
The plastic G36 just can't get near the awesomeness that is the K98 ;)

Modern German army is still called Heer, Bundeswehr Heer.

To differentiate between the modern and WWII incarnation, call the WWII version Wermacht Heer.
