I can see a few of these concepts playing out in the actual series. The actual confrontation between these two won't be a simple Good vs Evil battle; it will be one born of jealousy, regret, and coming into terms.
Ehh, I dunno if this fits Sayaka's motivations. Too many things that remain unknowns, such as exactly what Homura meant when she said she might
destroy the world after eradicating all wraiths
and if there are other consequences to her actions. Sayaka could have cut the window open and then maybe they could all try to sit down and talk their options with all their respective powers and their disagreements over,
(maybe Madoka would have agreed to Homura's idea if Humora had asked first - I mean, how bad could it be to be two people at the same time?)
like some sort of freaking grown-ups. Then again, I guess they aren't grown up.
I certainly would like the real thing to feature a lot less (glasses) Homu bullying, but I like the concept versus the execution.
The one thing that is certain is that Homura did goad Sayaka to oppose her. She may be exaggerating in her statements, but she's got nothing to gain by antagonizing her.
She's relishing in the notion of Sayaka challenging her. Whether that's because of personal jealousy or resentment, or perhaps self-loathing (she wants to be stopped) remains to be seen.
Either way I want the showdown to be one part anime kinetic action and the other part "let's sit down and talk about this".
So the weak Homura represented Sayaka's desire to stay in the new world with Madoka existing.
Don't think so.
It seems the Homuras Sayaka fights are the thresholds of Akuhomu's world; by destroying them, she essentially destroys Homura's grip of the world. But when she fights against Moemura, Sayaka realizes that the one who is caged is Akuhomu herself. It doesn't her to strike down Moemura. Though I'm not sure why she does that and why Homu seems to not knowing herself as the devil at the end. We'll see the continuation if it has any.
