Not true since she is popular amongst almost everyone, so 2 is still ok. Yet we all know it's going to be 4 because lel poor miko who eats dirt. Even though the best decision is 3 I won't count on this stupid fanbase.

The reason why Gensokyo is a place where infighting between humans and youkai doesn't really exist, other than non-lethal duels, is due to her efforts.

I always felt like it was a combination of all four, like she could and did do incredible things, but it made her hard to approach and therefore hard to give offerings to.

Pretty much. The mangas bluntly state that Reimu doesn't get many offerings because humans avoid the shrine since youkai frequent it. But since youkai frequent the shrine, Reimu is on familiar terms (enough) with youkai to keep them busy/entertained enough from doing anything REALLY dangerous/out of control.

Its a catch-22 situation that screws over Reimu but helps everyone else.

Really? cause I never really picture Reimu as someone who you can idolize, because of her somewhat lazy nature.
