Even so, some people would like to have them. Especially since they are currently not available for private ownership. The same could be said for guns like the FAMAS, L85A2, FN FNC, SIG SG 550, QBZ-95, and the like. People would buy them not because they believe they are superior in any way but because they can and why not. It's not like you're forced to only own an AR-15 and a Glock 17.

I know this is partially grave digging an old topic.
But, there are export models of QBZ, they're called QBZ-97. Same goes for FN FNC and SG 550. The latter two are just extremely rare to find, and cost the part. Obviously semi-auto only. Class 3 dealers have their own ways of selling full-auto firearms. SIG has the 556 for US market and close to nobody is interested in FNC's since there's plenty of FAL's.
