If you like Super 2Xsai-esque filters, then I guess it is done "very well". However I think it looks like complete and utter shit.
Why not just double up the original w/nearest neighbor if you absolutely must have a bigger version? At least that way the pixel art stays intact, instead of being reduced to a messed up blur of pseudo-vectors.
Well anyway... There's no accounting for taste, so I don't know who I'm trying to convince here. Don't let my cynicism and purism decrease your enjoyment of this enlargement. :D

There isn't. But for this specific pic, I personally think the particular artifacts of the resizing method chosen mesh very well with the pic and don't look ugly at all. You're free to remain unconvinced, don't let my enthusiasm spoil your cynism :)
