As long as it is something that Kitakami san wants to watch, it is of Great Justice!

Well, in 1940, the cartoon movie "Pinocchio" produced by the "Hahaa!!" company (indicating Disney) was released in the US, and was scheduled to be released in Japan the next year. As the japanese fans were having really high expectation with this movie, many movie magazines published special issues for it. But in the end, it was not until the 1950s, did this movie finally appeared there...

As Kitakami and Ooi were born in Taishou period (1912~1926, during this time Japan enjoyed a relatively more democratic and liberal political atmosphere, and had much better relationship with western world comparing to the Hirohito period), probably they were also quite eager for "Pinocchio" too.

It is very rare for this artist to be so serious...

I really feel very bad seeing his commentary here. Just think how many people died in WWII, and how many of them lost their lives while still regretting being unable to see "Pinocchio" or some other movies like that.

    The famous American animated film
    Ameri-canned コーヒー
I looove to watch American films!
    Ooi-cchi! Let's watch some DVDs.
    Kitakami-san, for Great Justice.
Original word (great justice) is a net slang referring to a superpower (usually in the military sense). As in "America, the Superpower". Basically an entity strong enough to have a say on what constitutes justice (my way) or not (your way). Literal translation seems to work better here, but the reference is clear.
You did say you wanted to see some of them before the war.
    CAPTAIN AMERI-CAN
    PINOCCHIO
DAIMON thie Daimon might refer to a famous character Daimon Keisuke in the TV episode "Western Policemen" in Japan, who always wears McArthur's sunglasses. And this Daimon is also registered as a trademark by a sunglass making company, which mainly focuses on this McArthur style sunglasses
    Hollywood Blockbuster
Unforgivable... How dare you sink me! How dare you get in the way of my honeymoon with Kitakami-san! Fuckin' Yank!
