This reminds me of the arguments being made for Madoka and other similar series that the spoiler tag is counter intuitive since the tag itself spoils something for someone where if it didn't have a spoil tag, they would think it was just normal fan art.

One that comes to mind that sparked some debate was Homura's glasses.
