Yep,if you sortied with no more than 3 subs,it'd cost you about 20 fuel (with repair),while a fuel node there give you about 20-40 each.

Do be very cautious,though-it is still a real attle map,and your subs can get hit to red and sunk if you just absentmindly order them to advance while farming.
