I take that as an Engrish-y way to say, "When a child becomes an adult, the child they used to be is dead."

It makes sense to me. It's a dreary outlook on life, but it makes sense.

Makes perfect sense. Too many adults really are like this.

Of course it makes sense metaphorically.
I am talking about grammar wise.
