I don't think I understand the first panel. If she was trying to sneak away from Mio and Ritsu, why is she concerned she can't see them anymore?
She was expecting to find them there, she's shy/embarrassed/afraid to be alone at a high school (K-On's were in middle school if I recall correctly) without friends her own age to accompany her. The sneaking part was her just getting to the school without them noticing her as she probably doesn't want to be teased about it.
