It's not really her lying. It's just that the Admiral was pretty nonchalant about entire thing and it slipped her mind.

Your forgetting, when she gave teetoku that ring her thought bubble was approximately one ring down, 99 to go. so to her she did not think of it as romance as it was getting rid of what was approximately money wasting rings. (Well cept the one she sold fubuki.)
