    第2话页数多,我完不成.分上下段, 1周画10页比较勉强.

    好吧,下周算是画画潦草,对白还是打字。我手写,读者看不方便。

Because... simplified Chinese wasn't created yet in 1940?

Could be shorthand to signify language changes:

    Traditional Chinese = English
    Simplified Chinese = Japanese

That's... actually a pretty good way of doing things. Problem is that the second half of Chapter 2 has the Kidou Butai's lines written in traditional Chinese.

The author seems to write primarily in Simplified Chinese (at least in his more recent art). I had a theory that somebody else is doing his typesetting, but flipping through his portfolio reveals occasional stretches where he'd write everything (artist commentary and image title included) in Traditional, so that can't be right (unless it's a shared account or something?).

This is quite odd since most methods of input for Chinese use different (default) methods for Simplified and Traditional. The former generally uses pinyin input, while the latter uses bopomofo/zhuyin. Sure, newer versions of Windows allow users to type Traditional in pinyin as well, but it still seems a bit of a hassle.

Maybe he's using somebody else's computer, or a shared computer, and couldn't be bothered (or didn't dare) to change the settings?
