Artist's commentary
It was a "nothing to lose by trying" situation to start with so, hey, it couldn't be helped!
The scenery along the forest road on the way back was gorgeous, and we had a good time. There was a promising-looking roadside station after that, but unfortunately, we had to finish up without dropping by.
And so, with this slightly solemn final scene, the Ōminato Trip chapter comes to a close today. All we did after this was eat curry at a service area and then go home, so there was nothing gag-worthy! :-)
