Nah, there's not a hint of embarrassment on Mutsu's face which is why I think she's trolling. She has the same expression she had when teasing Nagato in episode 8 of the anime. If Mutsu were blushing after getting caught or had a more "typical" reaction, I'd agree with you.
I would also think the trolling route. I'm assuming that's supposed to be an engagement ring. Mutsu put it on her right hand (you're supposed to put it on your left).
