Oh, if the king obtained a humanoid form. He actually looks pretty GAR like that. If a Splatoon 2 is made I'd like a form like this one in it.
If there ever is a Splatoon 2, I'd like to see the Octarians either as a playable race or as PvE bots to help get newbies adjusted to the game. As bots they could also be beamed in to replace team members whose internet connection dropped out.
As playable they could have their own hub (Octovalley) and equipment lists (octobrush/octoling armour). There could also be clan wars-style events online (similar, but not the same as splatfests) where Inklings and Octolings battle it out.
But those are just wishes for a hypothetical sequel that doesn't need to be made yet.
