But movies taught me that you can survive a fall from any height if you land in water. Or a dumpster because of the magical cushioning powers of garbage bags.

D&D taught me that if I make a high enoguh athletics check with a wall nearby I can fall from any height and take no damage.

Actually her parachute is already sniveling just out of the plane, so she never hit terminal velocity. The opening would be painful because of the ropes, but no more so than suspension bondage. Now the landing might suck since she can't steer...
