I see the same message for pictures all over the front page at the time of posting. I don't care much for Love Live (Really, I don't), but I've seen much worse pictures approved with regard to technical aspects of the art piece, i.e. proportions, anatomy, etc.

I'm not sure what's going on nowadays, but perhaps I don't understand the criteria for approval. It just comes off as bizarre to me that something that looks decent on a technical level isn't liked by "2 out of 2 moderators."

Sometimes moderators just look at pictures on danbooru and aren't actively moderating just like normal users. Having 2 or 3 moderators review a picture without approving it isn't unusual at all.

This is really much the same as the moderation process has always been, only now it's been made public to all users. I wouldn't put much stock in it.
