I think it was called Xamde or some such. Made by the same studio. Huge disappointment. You either laugh at how stupid and miserable the characters are or you won't get anything out of it really.

Oh, missed that one; Bounen no Xam'd. First three episodes was good, past that are...WTF. so many things that can be used as plot yet everything was wasted.

Xam'd is exactly what i thought of ~3 minutes in, till the end.
These 2 shows go hand in hand with the pretty/pseudo Mediterranean town with energetic teens suddenly over-run by unexplained mechs+fantasy.

Surprisingly it's not by Bones though.
