Not 100% sure on the commentary translation. The first character is confusing me. (It isn't the kanji for one, it's the kana vowel extension thing.) Not sure what it's supposed to mean. Maybe nothing... I don't think it would change the general meaning in any case, but it's bothering me...
It means nothing is my guess too. Or it might mark the opening of a sentence. THey do so on internet paragraphs, I think. I still tried my hands on the translation though.
