    ここに宿泊費を集中させるために、ほかの日は1日ひとり2400円とかの宿に泊まってました(笑)

    Hang in There, Kogasa-san 1827

In order to focus lodging expense here, on the other days, we stayed at a place that charged something like ¥2400 per person. :-)

I think you want this link for the Hotel in Odaiba: http://tokyobay.washington-hotels.jp/

I have actually stayed in the Washington Hotel there, but before I moved closer to Tokyo I usually did the Hilton. I know people who have gotten rooms there just a few days before Comiket.

I'll be staying in the Burj Khalifa next year. I haven't been in the area since it was built. Kinda excited.

Silly me; I looked up the hotel name, and the entire first page of hits all seemed to link to or be about the one I initially chose.

So what makes it special as a stayover for Comiket-goers, as opposed to any other hotels in the area?

Interesting note from that Hotel Orion... "Guests with a tattoo may not be permitted to enter public bathing areas and other public facilities."

For the poll, the ISS of course.

By all means don't mind us Kyubey. Go ahead and turn into a witch. I need my irony for the day.

It's RIGHT next to Tokyo Big Site. It's closer than any hotel in the area, I think. The Hilton is a 10 minute walk, but the rooms are a bit nicer and bigger.

That's not unusual. It's their way of banning the Yakuza without outright banning them. Unfortunately, this rule also applies to foreigners for some reason.

    Before the trip to Okinawa...
    Sounds good.
Okay, let's each reserve our own rooms.
Thank goodness they had exactly two of the cheap rooms available, huh.
    One Guest ¥30,000
Oh, wait...their standard-price rooms are all full....
    ¥25,000 for two people...
    One Guest ¥15,000
    The day of getting lodging...
I thought I was going to turn into a witch...
It's ridiculously expensive, but for now, I guess we'll reserve this room...
    One Guest ¥80,000
For this next trip to Okinawa, why don't we splurge for one day and stay at the Hotel Orion?
