There was. I have seen it all over the internet (mainly youtube, twitter or himeuta or kancolle wikia). It's farming for Graf, Prinz (and for some Ducky) and failing to clear the event because of lack of time, resources and luck. The salt and despair is real.

They're probably over confident that they decided to search for Prinz or Graf or Roma before clearing the event first.

Summer 2015 made it pretty clear that the time when you can yolo an event with soft regen capped resources is gone for good. From now on, if you want to clear, be crazy prepared.

With enough ressources, clearing an Event like this Fall could be a piece of cake. I went full Easy because I've wanted to clear it first after failing to do so during the Summer (Who was my first Event). It's farming who required to be crazy prepared (In Fall's Event case : LOT of buckets).
Also, when RNG decide to don't let you get the Kanmusu you want, she will show no mercy. Prinz's conditions for drop were pretty insane for a Kanmusu, mostly on Easy.
For me to suffer during this event was because I decided to farm for Graf and do E-5 on Hard even though I have no real reason to do so. Had to give up on Graf, but got Arashi in E-5 and clear it, so not complaining too much.

I fell for the trap and walked out with Prinz and Graf (already have Roma.) Took 3-4 days of farming for each but I was planning on leaving at least 3 days to clear E-5 on Hard if they didn't drop. Tanaka did get some small measure of revenge though since Arashi didn't drop.

Actually that lesson start 2 years ago, after that INFAMOUS FALL 2013. It doesn't matter if the devs never put the regenerating boss HP back (and never be), the lesson was "stock up lots of resources and buckets".
I've seen a lot of TTK's who participate in that event went to sheer desperation.

My first event was Midway, started back in late Spring 2014. Other than Hoppo Hell, Midway was not that bad when I knew when to run exped to regen my resources. The BGM also made the event more epic with that SHIZUNE SHIZUNE ominous chanting. It was an event I enjoyed, whereas Summer 2015 made me rage a fair bit, especially E7. Godamnit E7.
