    Looks like it's based on the Battle of Empress Augusta Bay.

    It's a night battle, and Sendai leads the 3rd Destroyer Squadron.
    Shiratsuyu and Samidare are damaged after colliding with each other.

    Historically, Sendai was hit by radar-directed gunfire, caught fire, and eventually sunk.

    But here, with both Shigure and Sendai at Kai Ni, the battle might turn out differently...
