Bleeding is a bit excessive though. The page on the back can be seen through the paper.

IIRC scanlation teams usually use some sort of photoshop plugin like Topaz to remove the bleed, but it can also be done manually, as seen here.

Severe cases might require selective masking (and inverting the selection) and then either leveling or using the dodge tool on the selected parts, or straight up filling (in whites and black) with the brush or bucket tool.

You can also level the whole image harder to eliminate the bleed effect, but that might lose some of the screentones (and possibly the edges of some lines).

The old standby is to fix the raws by placing a dark piece of paper behind the page you're scanning, but that might not be feasible if you no longer have the physical copy.

Well, I bought it digitally on Melonbooks but it's in fact scanned from what's left from the book (some pages has teared on it, so I guess they teared it in piece before scanning it?)

So I tried to paint the tearing mark, I can't do much about the see through (though I might have an idea now).

Note that my way of doing it is completely amateur and I'm doing it for an acceptable reading.

But I do agree that the bleeding is a bit too much (even though I've reduced it already), so I think I won't touch this part for the next one.

And speaking frankly, I don't see why I have to put up more work about it if some guys will just take the scan, typeset it and claim this is all their work.

I won't enter in the details, so I'll just do it my way as clean as possible.
